7 May 2024 – With Asia experiencing record-high temperatures in 2023, the upcoming Future Energy Asia Exhibition and Summit 2024 is poised to address critical energy challenges and propel the region towards accessible, affordable, sustainable, and reliable energy solutions. The event, scheduled for May 15-17 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, will gather tens of thousands of energy specialists, policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators from around the world to discuss Asia-Pacific’s energy policies, investment opportunities, market dynamics, and technological advancements.
The summit will kick off with a keynote speech by Thailand’s Energy Minister and Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, focusing on Asia’s journey towards carbon neutrality and the transition to electric mobility. This initiative gains particular significance following the recent World Meteorological Organization (WMO) report highlighting Asia’s second-highest mean temperature on record in 2023, along with extreme weather events experienced across the continent, such as Japan’s hottest summer on record.
The comprehensive conference program will feature a Strategic Summit, Technical Conference, Energy Regulators Forum, Energy Regulatory Commission Forum, Future Mobility Asia Strategic Summit, and Future Mobility Asia Technical Conference, providing a platform for crucial discussions on Asia’s contributions to global energy transition and ongoing decarbonization efforts. Notable speakers include Dr. Sompop Pattanariyankool, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, and executives from leading companies such as PTT Public Company Limited, SKK Migas, Sarawak Energy, Adani Gas, Pavilion Energy, and Cheniere Energy.
Attendees can also gain insights into the LNG market’s future from Anatol Feygin, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Cheniere Energy, amidst growing concerns about LNG price volatility, reliability, and affordability. Co-located with Future Energy Asia, the Future LNG Asia Strategic Summit will explore LNG’s role as a cleaner energy alternative, with a focus on practical strategies and actionable insights to address industry challenges.
The exhibition zones will feature the Climatetech Zone, showcasing digital advancements and decarbonization strategies, and the Renewable Zone, presenting innovative solutions in solar, wind, hydropower, and biomass. With co-hosts PTT Group and EGAT, and lead sponsors ADNOC and PTTEP, the event is set to showcase groundbreaking innovations and policy frameworks guiding the transition to net-zero emissions. As Asia’s pivotal role in the global energy landscape becomes increasingly apparent, the Future Energy Asia Exhibition and Summit 2024 is expected to drive significant progress towards a sustainable future.
