Fujifilm Malaysia has announced the upcoming launch of its latest mirrorless digital camera, the Fujifilm X-S20 (X-S20), scheduled for release on June 29. Designed to deliver premium image quality and advanced portability, the X-S20 caters to a wide range of shooting styles, from casual self-portraits to professional photography and videography.
Kensuke Aragane, the managing director of Fujifilm Malaysia, highlighted the X-S20’s key features, including its back-illuminated 26.1MP sensor X-Trans CMOS 4 and the high-speed image processing engine X-Processor 5, which work together to produce exceptional image quality. The camera also incorporates a five-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) mechanism that provides up to a 7.0-stop advantage, ensuring sharp and steady shots.
Aragane further emphasized the X-S20’s impressive autofocus (AF) capabilities, which include AI-based subject-detection AF capable of detecting animals and cars. This advanced AF performance, equivalent to the fifth-generation X Series camera, Fujifilm X-T5, enhances the camera’s mobility and versatility.
In addition to its photography capabilities, the X-S20 supports internal 6.2K/30P 4:2:2 10-bit video recording and features a 3.5mm microphone/earphone jack for connecting external accessories, enabling professional-grade video recording. Fujifilm also introduced a new Vlog Mode, which, when combined with the TG-BT1 tripod grip, simplifies the production of Vlogs.
