21 May 2024 – A recent report by Kaspersky reveals that fifty-nine percent of geo-distributed businesses experience network issues related to their multi-site structures at least once a month. The report, titled “Managing Geographically Distributed Businesses: Challenges and Solutions,” provides an in-depth analysis of the network security challenges these companies face, including network outages, lost connections, and poor performance of services and applications.
According to the report, 46% of geo-distributed companies encounter network problems between one and three times per month, while 13% experience these issues weekly. The remaining 40% report facing such problems only a few times per year or not at all.
Network failures or outages are the most prevalent issue, affecting 55% of companies. Additionally, 45% of respondents report loss of connectivity and poor performance of services and applications. Other significant challenges include inadequate connection capacity (37%) and complete or partial network shutdowns (32%).
