September 23, 2014 (Tue): foodpanda Malaysia has recently been appointed the food delivery service provider for Secret Recipe Cakes & Café Sdn Bhd (Secret Recipe Cakes & Café) for selected Secret Recipe cafes and Beyond Veggie outlets in the Klang Valley.
Secret Recipe Cakes & Café currently has a total of 120 Secret Recipe cafes and 12 Beyond Veggie outlets in the Klang Valley. According to Jamie Fong, Senior Brand Manager of Secret Recipe F & B Group, the outsourcing of its food delivery service to foodpanda Malaysia is expected to increase the sales of the selected Secret Recipe cafes and Beyond Veggie outlets by at least 3 to 5 per cent.
“Food delivery service offers our customers an alternative platform and convenience to order and purchase food from us. Moreover with foodpanda.my, customers are offered further convenience of ordering food via its mobile app and the food delivery charges is also made very affordable at only RM6 per delivery. Therefore with a support system of this new food delivery service offered by foodpanda, we can now tap into the rising trend of customers ordering food delivery,” said Fong.
“It has been difficult for customers to patronize vegetarian or meatless food for their daily meals, thus customers will be very delighted for foodpanda to deliver Beyond Veggie’s healthy tasty meatless meals to them whether they are at the office or at home. We reckon the convenience of food delivery is an added plus and a need for this market,” added Fong.
Foodpanda Malaysia will also be able to deliver Secret Recipe or Beyond Veggie’s whole cakes with the food ordered, so that customers can enjoy the convenient service of having their office celebrations or birthday cakes and meals delivered to their homes or birthday party venue.
With this latest collaboration, foodpanda Malaysia now has 610 restaurants listed in its food ordering and delivery service. With the expansion of its food delivery network, foodpanda Malaysia is also recruiting more riders to cope with the increasing demand for food delivery service. According to Claudio Abitante, the Managing Director of foodpanda Malaysia, the demand for food delivery has doubled every six months since the start of the business as foodpanda has made it very affordable with a wider choice and a good variety of restaurants to choose from. “foodpanda Malaysia not only delivers from major restaurants but also from smaller cafes and street food, so customers are given extensive options,” said Abitante.
