MALAYSIA: Evernote’s Operations & Security team recently discovered and blocked suspicious activity on its note sharing network and suspected the hacker has stolen Evernote user information which includes usernames, email addresses associated with Evernote accounts and encrypted passwords. However, they didn’t find any evidence that any payment information for Evernote Premium or Evernote Business customers was accessed.
According to Evernote, the passwords stored by Evernote are protected by one-way encryption. Even though the password encryption measures are robust, they still advise the users to reset their Evernote account passwords for ensuring their personal data remains secure.
