eCommerce Sales On VisaNet Surpasses US$1B A Day

Oct 14, 2013 (Mon): The recent data by Visa shows eCommerce sales on the Visa network or VisaNet have surpassed US$1 billion a day for 188 days in the first nine months of the year. In the first nine months of 2013, Visa’s online transactions were increased 16 per cent if compared to the same period last year and the growth was driven by mobile shopping, Visa said.

Visa’s recent survey – The Way We Pay: e- and mCommerce Trends also shows 27 per cent of smartphone users and 24 per cent of tablet owners have used their mobile device to make a purchase in the past 12 months.
