DKSH Malaysia Rolls Out Bold Sustainability Drive with EV Logistics and Renewable Energy Integration

DKSH Malaysia is accelerating its sustainability efforts through electric vehicle logistics, reusable packaging, and solar energy, setting new standards for eco-friendly operations across its healthcare and consumer goods divisions.

MALAYSIA, 12 APRIL 2025 – DKSH Malaysia, a trusted partner for companies seeking growth across Asia and beyond, has launched a series of impactful sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing its environmental footprint, improving operational efficiency, and fostering long-term positive change. These green efforts include the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs) in logistics, adoption of eco-friendly packaging, integration of solar energy, and the use of advanced green technologies.

Expanding our green logistics efforts, DKSH Malaysia introduces electric vehicles (EVs) into our fleet for sustainable last-mile delivery.

One of the standout projects is DKSH Healthcare’s innovative reverse logistics model, developed in collaboration with a major logistics partner. This system utilizes electric vehicles (EVs) and Malaysia’s Light Rail Transit (LRT) network to transport temperature-sensitive medical goods in partitioned cargo chambers, maximizing underused rail capacity and ensuring cold chain compliance.

Meanwhile, DKSH’s Business Unit Consumer Goods has introduced EVs into its last-mile delivery network. This strategic shift significantly reduces carbon emissions and reliance on fossil fuels, reinforcing the company’s role as a sustainability leader in market expansion services.

The company has also phased out single-use styrofoam in healthcare logistics, replacing it with durable, reusable temperature-controlled boxes to further reduce waste and enhance the sustainability of its supply chain.

In addition, DKSH has begun generating clean energy through the installation of solar panels at key sites, including its Shah Alam Distribution Center. These solar systems contribute to lower greenhouse gas emissions and reduced energy costs — a major step in the company’s transition to renewable energy sources.

These ongoing initiatives underscore DKSH Malaysia’s long-term commitment to achieving net-zero emissions and building responsible, sustainable value chains. Leaders across the organization emphasized that sustainability is embedded in the company’s business strategy.
