Tue, May 21, 2013: Chinese bank card organization China UnionPay (CUP) has been added by EMVCo as its latest member to have an equal interest in the standards body, the PayPers reported.
EMVCo, owned by American Express, JCB, MasterCard and Visa, manages, maintains and enhances the EMV Integrated Circuit Card Specifications to ensure global interoperability of chip-based payment cards with acceptance devices including point of sale terminals and ATMs.
