The inaugural Malaysia Top 100 Startups 2026 Edition by Cradle Fund reveals that featured technology companies delivered RM8.5 billion in revenue for FY2024 alongside an 87 percent average compound annual growth rate. The data-driven publication highlights the maturation of local tech ventures, with more than half expanding internationally and over a third achieving net profitability.

MALAYSIA, 28 OCTOBER 2026 – The 100 Malaysian technology enterprises spotlighted in the Malaysia Top 100 Startups 2026 Edition produced a combined revenue of RM8.5 billion, equivalent to approximately USD 2.08 billion, for the 2024 financial year.

Released by Cradle Fund Sdn. Bhd., the focal agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), the report documents an average compound annual growth rate of 87 percent across the cohort. Rather than serving as a competitive hierarchy, the inaugural data-backed index benchmarks high-performing Malaysian technology ventures that exhibit robust commercial viability, sustainable financial expansion, and cross-border scalability.

The findings illustrate a maturing technology ecosystem where commercial sustainability accompanies rapid scale. Among the featured enterprises, 36 companies generated more than RM1 million in net profit, equivalent to approximately USD 245,300, with several reaching profitability during pre-seed and seed phases. Global scalability remains evident, as 58 of the selected 100 companies have expanded operations into regional and international markets. Artificial intelligence and data-centric enterprises represent 66 percent of the list, underscoring the central role advanced technologies play in catalyzing commercial value.

MOSTI Minister YB Datuk Chang Lih Kang emphasized that the publication signals a notable milestone for local venture building, recognizing verified market outcomes rather than speculative potential. He noted that the performance demonstrates national talent readiness and global ambitions as Malaysia advances toward its objective of ranking among the premier global startup ecosystems by 2030.

Cradle Group Chief Executive Officer Norman Matthieu Vanhaecke pointed out that the cohort demonstrates how Malaysian founders are successfully aligning profitability with steep growth curves. He observed that 33 of the featured companies previously received early backing via Cradle grants or direct equity investments, illustrating the compounding impact of public-sector catalytic funding alongside private institutional capital.

In addition to the primary cohort, the document incorporates an Honourable Mentions segment highlighting foundational pillars of the local venture landscape, as well as a Startups to Watch register focusing on emerging deeptech and frontier software outfits.

Evaluation of the Top 100 combined official FY2024 financial filings from the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) with internal records from Cradle and verified founder submissions. The report is published as a strategic industry resource for international venture capital allocators, corporate partners, policymakers, and institutional ecosystem builders.
