CIMB Bank Launches mPOS

Oct 21, 2013 (Mon): CIMB Bank today launches Plug n Pay, the Malaysia’s first-ever chip-based mobile point-of-sale solution that offers businesses of any size to accept credit card via smartphones and tablets, Bernama news agency reports. The Plug n Pay device is priced at RM250 each in the market.

The initiative was in line with Bank Negara Malaysia to boost the number of cashless transactions and reduce the usage of cheques in the country.
