CelcomDigi Berhad has launched the CelcomDigi Pickleball Fund with up to RM1 million in phased support to help upgrade pickleball courts across Malaysia. The initiative aims to improve access to safer, better-equipped facilities while encouraging more Malaysians to embrace active lifestyles.
MALAYSIA, 13 APRIL 2026 – CelcomDigi Berhad, through its Arena CelcomDigi platform, has introduced the CelcomDigi Pickleball Fund, allocating up to RM1 million to support the growth of Malaysia’s pickleball ecosystem.
The fund will be distributed in phases to help improve access to quality pickleball courts nationwide, supporting Arena CelcomDigi’s mission of making active lifestyles more fun and accessible for Malaysians.
The initiative offers tiered support through both cash and in-kind contributions based on facility size and development needs. Operators with three or fewer courts can receive RM5,000, while those with four to six courts are eligible for RM10,000. Facilities with seven or more courts may receive up to RM15,000.
The fund is open to local businesses and residential associations operating pickleball courts. Eligible applicants can use the support to upgrade existing facilities, improve equipment, or enhance amenities to create safer and more enjoyable playing environments.
According to Chan May Ling, Head of Brand and Marketing Services at CelcomDigi Berhad, pickleball has become an increasingly popular sport among Malaysians, helping to bring communities together through social interaction and shared experiences.
She said the initiative reflects CelcomDigi’s broader commitment to fostering meaningful connections beyond digital services by supporting community spaces that promote healthier and more active lifestyles.
Pickle Mines, located in The Mines area, has become the first pickleball court to receive funding under the programme.
Pickleball court operators interested in applying for support can register through Arena CelcomDigi’s official platform, with further updates to be shared via CelcomDigi’s social media channels.
