Bank Rakyat Indonesia eyes Rp 2.5 trillion income from e-banking

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), one of the largest government-owned banks in Indonesia is eyeing the increased use of e-banking (internet banking and mobile banking) next year, which able to help BRI to increase its fee base income of e-banking sector from Rp 1.5 trillion (RM0.479 billion) late of this year to Rp 2.5 trillion (RM0.798 billion) in 2013.

With the soft launch of BRI Mobile three months ago, this single platform combines both Internet banking and mobile banking made the users can transact e-banking through smartphones easily. BRI believed the launch of BRI Mobile able to help to increase the usage of e-banking among its customers.
