Bank Rakyat and Paysys by NTT DATA have launched Malaysia’s first Android EMV soundbox payment solution, combining secure payment acceptance, real-time voice notifications, and digital receipts in one device. The launch aims to accelerate cashless adoption among SMEs while improving transaction visibility and operational efficiency for merchants nationwide.

MALAYSIA, 27 JULY 2026 – Bank Rakyat and Paysys by NTT DATA today announced the launch of Malaysia’s first Android EMV soundbox payment solution with integrated voice notification functionality and digital receipts, marking a significant milestone in advancing financial inclusion and digital payment adoption among SMEs across the country.

The launch builds on the collaboration between Bank Rakyat and Paysys to deliver accessible payment solutions that support financial inclusion and accelerate digital payment adoption among Malaysian SMEs. The Android EMV soundbox device combines secure payment acceptance, real-time voice transaction notifications, and digital receipt capabilities in a single compact terminal, giving merchants an affordable way to manage digital payments while improving transaction visibility and operational efficiency.

Powered by the Kozen N2 Android EMV device, the solution supports Visa, Mastercard, MyDebit, e-Wallets, and contactless payments. Merchants receive instant voice notifications upon successful transactions, offering immediate payment confirmation and greater confidence during daily operations. By consolidating payment acceptance and transaction verification into one device, the solution streamlines business operations while supporting Malaysia’s continued shift towards a more inclusive, cashless economy.
