MALAYSIA, 28 OCTOBER – AmInvestment Bank Berhad, a key investment banking arm of AmBank Group Berhad, has entered into a strategic collaboration with global fintech enterprise GTN to broaden international investment horizons for Malaysian investors.
Through the integration of GTN co-branded trading platform known as GTN Trade, AmInvestment Bank clients will gain frictionless access to 13 key global markets, including leading financial hubs such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia.
The arrangement enables AmInvestment Bank to bypass the complex, resource-intensive process of setting up individual broker arrangements, connectivity protocols, and clearing frameworks for each foreign jurisdiction. Powered by a single integration point, the front-facing solution carries the AmInvestment Bank identity, while GTN delivers the underlying trading execution, clearing, custody, and post-trade settlement architecture behind the scenes.
GTN Chief Executive Officer for Asia Julien Le Noble stated that modern market access should be straightforward and readily accessible. He noted that GTN technical infrastructure empowers domestic banking institutions to introduce comprehensive international trading solutions without incurring the heavy capital and operational overhead of constructing overseas brokerage pipes internally. The partnership directly connects Malaysian retail and institutional investors with international wealth opportunities via their existing, trusted domestic banking channel.
AmInvestment Bank Chief Executive Officer Christopher Ng emphasized that enhancing portfolio diversification across global territories and industrial sectors represents a core milestone in upgrading the bank wealth management division. He explained that pairing the domestic market pedigree and extensive reach of AmInvestment Bank with the institutional trading infrastructure of GTN establishes a unified environment tailored to address the changing financial ambitions of Malaysian market participants.
The roll-out comes at a time when retail and institutional investors in Southeast Asia are increasingly seeking overseas avenues to hedge domestic exposure and tap global technology, energy, and equity trends.
