Malaysian fintech platform Alixco has unveiled a targeted financing initiative of RM22 million aimed at empowering local small and medium enterprises within the semiconductor sector and supporting women entrepreneurs nationwide. Operating as a regulated Recognized Market Operator, the platform seeks to help businesses bridge working-capital gaps and scale within Malaysia’s expanding technology ecosystem.

MALAYSIA, 23 OCTOBER 2026 – Malaysian fintech platform Alixco, which specialises in peer-to-peer (P2P) financing and equity crowdfunding, has announced plans to facilitate RM22 million in targeted financing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The strategic fund allocation is designed to strengthen Malaysia’s critical semiconductor supply chain while expanding financial inclusion for women entrepreneurs.

Under the initiative, RM20 million is earmarked specifically for SMEs backing Penang’s vibrant semiconductor and electronics ecosystem. Eligible sectors include precision engineering, component manufacturing, industrial automation, and related supply-chain services.

An additional RM2 million will be dedicated to women-led SMEs across the country, providing essential working capital and growth capital to help female business leaders scale their operations.

A spokesperson for Alixco emphasized that Malaysia’s semiconductor industry relies heavily on a robust network of local suppliers. The objective of this initiative is to assist local SMEs in bridging working-capital gaps, fulfilling larger supply orders, and actively participating in the sector’s long-term expansion.

Established in 2015, Alixco is operated by FBM Crowdtech Sdn Bhd, a Recognized Market Operator registered with the Securities Commission Malaysia. To date, the platform has facilitated over RM240 million in SME financing, connecting local businesses with capital through regulated alternative finance channels.

The RM22 million initiative serves as a targeted financing objective, which remains subject to credit assessments, investor participation, and total funding availability.
