Catalist-listed AcroMeta Group has signed a non-binding term sheet with Macro HRD SG to secure exclusive rights for commercialising ambient-temperature cellular transport technology across Southeast Asia. The breakthrough innovation eliminates conventional cold chain dependencies, targeting regional market opportunities in cell and gene therapy estimated in the billions of Ringgit.

SINGAPORE, 8 SEPTEMBER – SGX Catalist-listed facility management specialist AcroMeta Group Limited has entered into a non-binding term sheet with Singapore-based healthcare consultancy Macro HRD SG Pte Ltd to form a strategic partnership centered on advanced cell logistics technology.

Under the framework, AcroMeta secures an option for exclusive licensing rights to commercialise Ambient Temperature Cellular Logistics technology across Southeast Asian markets through Macro-ATCLS Pte Ltd. The arrangement grants AcroMeta first rights to expand into additional territories and appoint sub-licensees across the region.

The core technology offers an alternative to traditional refrigerated or cryogenic transportation for living cells and temperature-sensitive biological materials. Utilizing proprietary preservation techniques alongside real-time monitoring platforms, the system enables dormant cells to travel at room temperature and reactivate on-site, significantly reducing distribution costs and logistical risks.

The technological platform addresses high-growth biomedical sectors, including stem cell operations, gene therapy, and organ transplantation. Global market data highlights massive commercial potential, with immune-cell therapy market values standing at approximately RM21 billion (USD 5.2 billion) and organ transplantation reaching nearly RM190 billion (USD 47 billion). Additionally, the global cell-and-gene-therapy third-party logistics space is projected to expand from RM7.32 billion (USD 1.81 billion) to RM68.55 billion (USD 16.95 billion) over the next decade.

Within its core target segments, the commercial developer estimates an accessible market size of roughly RM58.64 billion (USD 14.5 billion) globally.

Lawrence Toh, Executive Director of AcroMeta Group, highlighted that entering the cell and gene therapy logistics space provides a natural diversification pathway beyond traditional facility operations. He noted that double-digit growth expectations across the market present a prime opportunity to build a strong operational footprint across Southeast Asia.
