An e-commerce platform for Indonesia creative textile industry, Berbatik.com was launched officially, to connect the dots between the needs of Indonesia local textile artisans with the demand of potential buyers.
The co-founder of Berbatik, Heri Fikrio said the startup of Berbatik.com was inspired by the design-oriented and handmade e-commerce site based in Brooklyn, Etsy.com but Berbatik focuses on only high quality of Indonesia’s batik products. To date, Berbatik has 10 sellers on site that producing over 900 women’s items including apparel, shoes and small accessories, Heri added.
