WhatsApp Introduces New Tools for Managing Group Chats

Last year, WhatsApp launched Communities to help users better manage their group chats. Since then, they’ve been working on developing additional tools for admins and users to make groups more manageable and easier to navigate.

WhatsApp is now rolling out a new tool that gives group admins more control over their group’s privacy. When an admin shares the group’s invite link or makes the group joinable in a community, they can now choose who can join. This is important since groups are often where people have personal conversations, and it’s crucial for admins to be able to control who can access the group.

To make it easier to navigate the app, WhatsApp has also added a new feature that allows users to see which groups they have in common with their contacts. Users can search a contact’s name to see the groups they share in common, making it easier to keep track of multiple groups.

These features will be rolled out globally in the coming weeks, and WhatsApp is committed to developing additional tools to enhance the group chat experience for admins and members alike.
