Western Union Foundation supports global education by giving grant

Wed, May 8, 2013: The Western Union Foundation has proved its commitment towards improving the quality of education globally by granted more than RM3.58 million (US$1.2 million) to nonprofit non-governmental organizations (NGOs) through Q1 2013.

Education for Better is a new program launched by the Western Union Company and the Western Union Foundation to help improve secondary education and vocational training through strategic grants. The Western Union Foundation will pledge an average of RM29,824.99 (US$10,000) per day for more than 1,000 days in potential grant funding. KickStart in Africa, Give2Asia in Asia, Vielfalter Initiative in Europe and Divya Chaya Trust in India are some of the programmes received grant from the Western Union Foundation.
