The amendment of Evidence Act 1950 may protect us against cyber crime
The President of Young Journalists Club or Kelab Wartawan Muda Malaysia (KWMM), Dzulkarnain Taib commented that the Evidence Act 1950 Section 114A which was amended recently should be seen as providing legal protection to the people against cyber crime. He advised those against the amendment should not be unduly worried it since the country’s laws will evolve according to the changing times.
He believed all aspects had been considered in amending the said act. He also added that the objective is to provide people with protection and not to cause harm to anyone or any group.
