Feb 17, 2014 (Mon): Stripe announced that its online payment solution has enabled merchants in the U.S. and Europe can accept payments in 139 currencies. Stripe will automatically handle converting and transferring funds to merchants in their home currency and each currency conversion incurs a 2 percent fee on top of market exchange rates. According to Stripe, the currency conversion rate is calculated in real-time and can be immediately checked by retrieing the relavent balance transaction via the API.
