KUALA LUMPUR: RHB Bank Bhd (RHB), the fourth largest retail bank in the country with almost three million customers is aggressively looking to enlarge its customer base in a bid to have a stronger foothold in retail banking over the next 12 to 24 months. RHB will focus in five areas which are delivery system, product innovation, risk management, customer service and customer engagement to allow it to compete in the retail space.
The director for retail banking of RHB Vince Au Yoong said the bank experience tremendous growth in retail banking last two years includes grew 76 per cent for debit card which is higher than industry’s growth and 8 per cent for credit card which was in line with the industry’s growth.
He said that RHB Now (RHB’s online banking service) users had grown more than double over the last two years and it is now ranked the third largest Internet banking service provider and fourth most visited Internet banking website in Malaysia.
“The bank has invested to change the Internet banking platform, run Internet banking promotions and introduce mobile banking platform and secure online banking transaction to encourage This was made possible via the strategic investments made by the bank to change the Internet banking platform, introduce mobile banking platform, secure online banking transactions and Internet banking promotions to encourage its customer to use RHB Now,” he added.
