Prime Minister: Mobile commerce in Malaysia grew 370 per cent last year
Mobile commerce has contributed RM467 million to the country’s economy last year, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said at the 24th MSC Malaysia Implementation Council Meeting. Najib said that the total mobile shopping spent in the country grew 370 per cent in 2011, from RM101 million in 2010.
He forecasted that Malaysia’ mobile commerce will grow more than seven times from the current total spent to hit RM3.43 billion over the next three years.
