Parkson is launching its online shopping site soon
Parkson, one of the largest retail chains in Malaysia will launch its online store in the country as well as in China next month, according to Datuk Alfred Cheng, the Managing director of both Hong Kong-listed Parkson Retail Group Ltd and Singapore-listed Parkson Retail Asia.
Cheng says today 8 to 12 per cent of overall sales for a departmental store are come from e-commerce and now is the right time for Parkson to venture into e-commerce.
With Parkson presence across Asia, Cheng foresees the Parkson e-commerce site will become their largest store within 3 years.
Parkson is the retailing arm of the Lion Group and currently operates 125 stores across Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and soon Cambodia and Myanmar.
