These collaborations mark a significant milestone in developing the local startup ecosystem, promoting innovation culture, and providing resources for exponential growth in Malaysia.
As part of MYStartup’s commitment to strengthening the Malaysian startup ecosystem, these strategic partnerships with major corporations have been established to facilitate holistic growth. The series of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed in early 2022 signify a collaborative effort to provide entrepreneurs and startups with a platform to grow and scale.
These dynamic partnerships will not only enhance the funding landscape but also enable the ecosystem to thrive regionally and globally, opening new doors for startups and fostering innovation.
Ahmad Kashfi Alwi, Senior Vice President, Ecosystem Development at Cradle, emphasized the collective commitment of the partners to support the growth and success of startups in Malaysia. Leveraging each partner’s expertise, resources, and networks, these collaborations aim to create an enabling environment where startups can thrive, innovate, and make a lasting impact.
The partnerships bring a range of benefits for startups operating within Malaysia. Collaborating with Maxis provides opportunities for engagement in Maxis-organized programs, potential commercial partnerships, and project developments. Startups participating in the MYStartup Accelerator Programme can also connect with Maxis for future business and funding opportunities, with increased brand visibility across corporate platforms.

Additionally, the collaboration opens doors for collaboration with corporate partners under the PETRONAS FutureTech 3.0 program and potential investments from local and regional venture capital firms.
Cyberview’s partnership provides special rental rates within Cyberjaya premises and access to business growth opportunities. Through Cradle and Cyberview, startups can connect with angel investors from the Malaysian Business Angel Network (MBAN) for potential funding opportunities.
The collaboration with airasia academy focuses on knowledge and education fundamentals, offering startups accessible guided learning content and instructor-led training courses. Startups gain valuable skills through on-demand learning programs, including certification modules in crucial areas such as Digital Marketing, Cybersecurity, and Software Engineering.
