May 8, 2014 (Thu): MasterCard is introducing MasterCard Start Path, a new programme for them to help accelerate startups toward long-term success by offering customized support, operational mentorship and the potential to secure pilots with key global players such as ASOS and Capital One.
“Start Path is another great way that MasterCard is showing continued commitment to innovation,” said Stephane Wyper, Start Path Global Lead at MasterCard. “The future of commerce will be shaped both by traditional players and by startups that are already experimenting with the next generation of solutions. We are giving these startups direct access to our extensive knowledge and experience, to help them uncover new ideas, and ultimately create better experiences for consumers, merchants and other partners.”
MasterCard will select up to 8 companies in the commerce ecosystem from across Europe to join the 12-month hybrid onsite and virtual program that will launch in late July. To participate, you can apply at www.startpath.com/accelerator/ before May 16, 2014.
