July 30, 2013 (Tue): Gartner Inc. forecasts that total information technology (IT) spending in Malaysia will reach RM61.9 billion this year, increases about 6.4 per cent if compared with 2012, the Business Times reported. According to the report, Gartner said the spending amount is made up of telecommunications services (RM33.9 billion), devices (RM13.3 billion), IT services (RM9.8 billion), software (RM3.3 billion) and data centre systems (RM1.7 billion).
