Instarem, leading digital cross border payments business, today announced that its mobile application is now available in Malaysia, enabling users to send funds effortlessly.
The new app will allow instant onboarding for Malaysian Nationals and expats through local partners. Users will be able to access the app with their fingerprint and will be able to transfer instantly to specific destinations via an intuitive function called Quick Send. The app will allow users in Malaysia to send money to beneficiaries in over 55+ markets in the world, within minutes, as well as gain faster access to recent transfers in the app dashboard.
Rajendar Dhorkay, Malaysia Country Head for Instarem, said, “Through the pandemic we have seen a surge in the demand towards being able to remit money in a safe and convenient way. The need to send money overseas has increased, while doing so from a physical store has become almost impossible. Our app has been carefully designed to solve for this. It allows users to remit in a few clicks. It also allows them to feel safe, save money and save time while they’re at it.”
Since the establishment of Instarem in 2015, the next-generation payments business has been leveraging the latest technology to help its customers send (via the app and web), pay (with its amaze card in specific markets), and receive money (through its SME offering) across borders quicker and at a more competitive price point than its competitors.
Besides individual customers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are also increasingly using Instarem for their business needs, which saw a three-fold year-over-year growth in 2020 compared to 2019.
Instarem currently operates in six continents and over 100 markets, serving more than 130 million end customers. It processes more than US$6 billion in transaction volumes annually and makes majority of payments in less than 15 minutes.
