IBM Invests US$17M for New Data Center in Columbia

Sept 25, 2013 (Wed): According to an official announcement by IBM, the company will invest US$17 million in a new data center located in Bogota which will provide Colombian companies with cloud computing and Big Data services.

Colombia is one of the fastest growing countries outsourcing datacenter services in Latin America, with an estimated 15.3 per cent growth of the data center services market in Colombia in 2013, mainly driven by cloud computing, according to Vision Growth Consulting, a consulting firm in Columbia.
