HWM Malaysia Names Kaspersky Lab As Best Security Software for the 6th Consecutive Year

December 8, 2014 (Mon): Kaspersky Lab, one of the fastest growing IT security vendors in the world and the world’s largest privately held vendor of endpoint protection solutions, was named the ‘Readers’ Choice Best Security Solutions’ by HWM Malaysia, the No.1 tech lifestyle magazine in Malaysia.

In conjunction with HWM Malaysia’s 12thanniversary, the inaugural HWM+HardwareZone.com Tech Awards 2014 for Malaysia took place in order to honor the choices of their readers who had participated in an earlier survey.

In the category of “Best Security Software”, Kaspersky Lab outshined the other competing brands to be given the award. The brand has been consistently claiming the no. 1 spot on this tech-related brand survey (formerly known as the Brand Survey Awards) organized by HWM and Plaza Low Yat since 2009.

Kaspersky Lab, current leader in terms of consumer market share in Malaysia, is expected to improve even further as 2015 approaches. The brand offers a wide-range of protection against all forms of threats and malwares. It protects over 300 millions users globally ranging from work, home and mobile users.

According to Mr. Jimmy Fong, Channel Sales Director, SEA, Kaspersky Lab, the survey result shows that Kaspersky Lab has met the demands of Malaysian consumers who are constantly looking for the best and the most secure protection against the rampant and evolving cyber threats.

“Kaspersky Lab is delighted to receive such recognition. This recognition goes to all the team members around the globe whom put in their time and effort in carrying out the one thing our founder, Mr. Eugene Kaspersky believe – everyone, from home users and small companies to large corporations and governments has the right to be free from cyber-security fears,” Mr. Fong said.

A total of 28 products categories were contested in the survey and the winning brands represented HWM readers’ most voted favorites in the respective sections of the magazine: Test, Teleport, aperture, and SMB.

Mr. Michael Low, Editor of HWM and HardwareZone Malaysia said, “We would like to congratulate Kaspersky Lab for its ability to continuously grow and meet the great demands of consumers. The success of Kaspersky Lab is one that many of us admire and learn from.”
