China’s Tencent buys Patimas shares

KUALA LUMPUR: China’s Internet company Tencent Holdings Ltd purchased shares of Patimas Computer Berhad, which engaged in the provision of ICT services, solutions and products, including managing Internet services and security services and development of e-business applications and services, The Sun Daily reported.

With headquarters in Shenzhen, China, Tencent Holdings Ltd provides Internet and mobile phone value-added services and operate online advertising services in China. It operates the well-known instant messenger Tencent QQ and runs one of the largest web portals in China, QQ.com.
