Jan 17, 2014 (Fri): Big C hypermarkets, the leading hypermarket chain in Thailand and a subsidiary of Groupe Casino, has spent 110 million baht on an e-commerce website which will be launched in the coming weeks in Thailand and Vietnam under the Cdiscount brand, Bangkok Post reports. Cdiscount is an e-store owned by Groupe Casino. According to Big C, the e-commerce market in Thailand is worth 130 billion baht and the number of pure operators is still small.
