Australian Online Job Ads Site to Acquire Jobstreet
Feb 20, 2014 (Thu): Seek Ltd, which operates the largest online job ads site by number of clicks in Australia, on Wednesday said it will buy Jobstreet Corp Bhd for RM1.73 billion ringgit, Business Times reports. Currently, Seek is a substantial JobStreet shareholder with a 22 percent stake.
Jobstreet was reported to have more than 150,000 job advertisements every month and a database of more than 11 million employment seekers covering Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam. Seek chief executive Andrew Bassat said they will combine Jobstreet’s operations with its JobsDB which acquired about a year ago.
