July 31, 2013 (Wed): Malaysia’s 4G services licensee Altel Communications Sdn Bhd will invest over RM1 billion over five years to deploy its 4G long-term evolution (LTE) network in the country. According to the Sun Daily report, Altel will roll out its prepaid product to the market next month and more products and services such as postpaid/LTE products in the fourth quarter of 2013 and beyond. Altel expects to have 500 LTE radio base stations and 150,000 customers in the first year of launch.
