Airbnb expands into Southeast Asia market through Malaysia

Airbnb.com, an online community marketplace for people to list, discover and book unique accommodations around the world said it would continue its expansion into Southeast Asia starting with Malaysia, BERNAMA reported.

According to Airbnb’s co-founder and chief technology officer Nathan Blecharczyk, the demand of their services in Malaysia has gone up significantly last year. Malaysia was a growing travel destination and more Malaysians were traveling abroad too, Blecharcyzk added.

Founded in August of 2008, Airbnb is based in San Francisco, US and connecting people around the world to unique travel experiences at any price point in more than 33,000 cities and 192 countries.
