Mar 4, 2014 (Tue): The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) and its member banks held a road-show in Kota Kinabalu yesterday and will be holding another road-show in Kuching on 5 March 2014 as part of the last legs of its “Experience Interbank GIRO (IBG)” road-shows.
ABM together with Bank Negara Malaysia and the Association of Islamic Banking Institutions Malaysia (AIBIM) had conducted road-shows in major cities across the country to create awareness on and encourage members of the public and businesses to adopt e-payment since October last year.
According to Chuah Mei Lin, Executive Director of ABM, response from the attendees at these road-shows was positive with a take-up rate of 60 to 70 percent.
