ZTE Corporation (ZTE), a global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions operates across 140 countries has formed up a partnership with China’s bankcard association UnionPay to offer mobile payment services through new mobile model with near-field communication (NFC) function which will be released by ZTE this year, CaiXin online reported. Besides mobile payment services, ZTE also will partner with UnionPay to explore payment services through IPTV.
ZTE expected to sell more than 10 million mobile phones with NFC payment functions in 2013 while mobile payment transactions users will be expected to reach 480 users in China this year.
