WhatsApp Revolutionizes Messaging with In-App Sticker Creation for iOS Users

WhatsApp introduces an in-app sticker creation feature for iOS users, allowing them to seamlessly create, edit, and share personalized stickers without leaving the app. This enhancement aims to provide a more engaging and secure messaging experience, with the feature rolling out on iOS 17+ over the coming days.

15 January 2024 – WhatsApp users on iOS can now seamlessly create, edit, and share personalized stickers within the app, eliminating the need for third-party applications. This feature, accompanied by enhanced security through WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption, allows users to infuse creativity into their chats with auto-crop functionality and a range of editing tools.

In a move to provide a more engaging and personalized messaging experience, WhatsApp has introduced a new feature for iOS users. As of today, users can create, edit, and share their own stickers without leaving the app, adding a touch of personalization and creativity to their conversations.

Unlike previous methods that required dragging and dropping images or relying on third-party apps, WhatsApp’s in-app sticker creator ensures a secure environment with end-to-end encryption.

The process is simple: users can open the sticker tray, select ‘create sticker,’ and choose an image from their gallery. The auto-crop function, along with text, drawing, and overlay tools, allows for easy customization. Once sent, the sticker is automatically saved in the sticker tray for convenient future use.

For those looking to edit existing stickers, the process is equally straightforward. Users can long-press the sticker, choose ‘edit sticker,’ and add text, other stickers, or drawings as desired. This feature is already available on WhatsApp Web and will be rolling out on iOS 17+ over the coming days. However, users with older iOS versions can edit existing stickers but won’t have the ability to create new ones.
