Webull Malaysia Welcomes Fintech Veteran Farah Jaafar to Board as Independent Non-Executive Director

Webull Malaysia has appointed Farah Jaafar as an Independent Non-Executive Director, bringing extensive fintech and financial services experience to the board. Her expertise will support Webull Malaysia’s mission to enhance investor education and inclusion through advanced fintech solutions.


17 July 2024 – Webull Securities (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“Webull Malaysia”) is delighted to announce the appointment of Farah Jaafar as its new Independent Non-Executive Director.

Farah Jaafar brings a wealth of business and fintech experience, along with diverse industry perspectives, garnered from her 30-year career in various leadership roles within capital markets and financial services organisations. Currently serving as the Vice President of the FinTech Association of Malaysia, Farah plays a key role in advancing national policies, legislation, and regulations in fintech, accelerating innovation within the country’s financial sector. She previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre, a premier international financial hub.

Webull Malaysia, launched in May, is a digital investment platform that allows investors of all levels to trade Bursa-listed securities and derivatives contracts such as FCPO and FKLI, alongside US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) via the Webull Malaysia app. In partnership with Elzar Shariah Solutions & Advisory, Webull Malaysia provides screening for US-listed stocks and ETFs on the platform, with Shariah-compliant stocks indicated by a purple crescent icon.
