Aug 20, 2013 (Tue): The Vietnam Prosperity Bank (VPBank) yesterday launched the prepaid virtual Visa SmartCash card, the first virtual prepaid card in Vietnam after received approval from the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), Biz Hub reported.
The SmartCash card is designed for consumers to make safe online payments for e-commerce transactions and VPBank believes this new product can contribute positively to the growth of local e-commerce market.
The maximum limit of the new virtual prepaid card is VND5 million (RM780.08). For more info, please visit http://smartcash.vpb.com.vn.
During the launch of the card, Lorijion Bacchi, Visa country director to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia said that a research conducted last year found 67 per cent of Vietnamese people found went online everyday, 98 per cent were looking for products online and 71 per cent conducted transactions.
