Thu, Jun 6, 2013: The global payment company Visa Inc. yesterday announced that it has signed agreements with iZettle, SumUp and SCCP Group’s Swiff, to test and approve mobile acceptance hardware and software of the three mobile point-of-sales (mPOS) providers for use with Visa payments. Through the participation in Visa Ready Program, mPOS providers able to collaborate with Visa easily, to enable merchants of all sizes to accept Visa payments using mobile technology.
According to Visa, the number of mobile point-of-sale terminals in operation worldwide increased 111 per cent, from 4.5 million in 2011 to 9.5 million in 2012, and it is expected to reach 38 million in 2017.
Additionally, Visa also announced that it has approved two new mPOS devices by AnywhereCommerce and Miura Systems to accept Visa payments.
