Terry KS TNG Digital, the owner and operator of Touch ‘n Go eWallet, has launched GOprotect, a platform that allows eWallet users to purchase various insurance products directly through the app. GOprotect offers six types of insurance policies from leading insurance partners such as Allianz, Etiqa, Takaful Ikhlas, MSIG, Takaful Malaysia, AlA Malaysia, and Zurich Takaful. Users can compare quotes and purchase insurance plans in under three minutes, with the added benefit of hassle-free claim processes through round-the-clock insurers’ claim hotlines.
TNG Digital CEO Alan Ni said that more than two million policies have been issued through the eWallet since July 2021 and plans to double the number of policies issued this year, particularly to increase insurance penetration among the low-income B40 group. The company plans to continue introducing value-for-money insurance products in the future, aiming to make the TNG eWallet a one-stop alternative to banking solutions with a full suite of financial services.
