SINGAPORE, 7 JANUARY 2026 – Thunes, a global payments infrastructure provider, has announced a strategic collaboration with Sterling Bank to enhance cross-border payment accessibility for Nigerians living abroad. The partnership aims to provide a faster, simpler, and more reliable way for diaspora communities to send money home, setting a new benchmark for cross-border remittances.

With an estimated 17 million Nigerians residing overseas, demand for efficient and transparent international payment solutions continues to rise. Through this collaboration, Sterling Bank will leverage Thunes’ Direct Global Network to roll out improved cross-border payment capabilities across multiple European markets, enabling Nigerians abroad to support their families and manage financial commitments with greater ease.
