Wed, Jun 5, 2013: The recent annual Internet Security Threat report by security company Symantec Corp shows targeted cyberespionage attacks increased 42 per cent in 2012 compared with 2011, the news agency Bernama reported. The report also reveals 31 per cent of those attacks were targeting manufacturing sector and small businesses to steal information.
According to another online source, cyber-attacks in Malaysia is increasing and have pushed Malaysia’s ranking to the 35th spot on the global Internet security threat profile last year from 38th spot in 2011. There are 157 countries under monitoring by Symantec.
