‘Pornography, erotic materials’ tops the undesirable content in Kaspersky Lab’s Parental Control component, followed by ‘Social networks’ and ‘illegal software’, according to the worldwide statistic analyzed by Kaspersky Lab for the last six months.
The Internet plays an increasingly prominent role in children’s lives while the dangers of the Internet are increasing by the day. According to Konstantin Ignatev, Manager of the Web Content Analysts Group at Kaspersky Lab, the children has become more active on social networking sites but social networks are the favoured platform for cybercriminals to spread malicious links, conducting phishing scams and other types of fraud. This has made the social networks to become extreme dangerous environment for children.
To safeguard the children from the hidden dangers of the Internet, parents should activate the Parental Control component provided by the security solution.
