Star Publications spend RM20 – RM30 million to beef up its digital businesses

Thu, May 23, 2013: Star Publications (M) Berhad (The Star) is revamping its online news portal, thestar.com.my to generate more revenue from digital business and will roll out the new-look portal on July 1, 2013, reports Bernama. According to Datuk Vincent Lee, the Executive Deputy Chairman at The Star, the company will spend about RM20 million to RM30 million on its digital business for more effective media business models, including revamping its internet classifieds portal – myStarjob.com and StarProperty.my.
