SportExcel has teamed up with IT provider CLL Systems to launch a digital Golf Management System (GMS) that streamlines tournament operations and enhances the junior golf experience. The system will debut at the SportExcel–KLGCC International Junior Golf Championship 2025 this July.
MALAYSIA, 19 JUNE 2025 – SportExcel, Malaysia’s leading foundation for junior sports development, has announced a strategic partnership with IT solutions provider CLL Systems to digitize and streamline the management of its junior golf tournaments. The collaboration represents a major advancement in the foundation’s efforts to modernize tournament operations and enhance the experience for young athletes, parents, and organizers.
The Golf Management System (GMS), developed by CLL Systems, will be officially implemented during the SportExcel–KLGCC International Junior Golf Championship 2025, scheduled to take place from 16 to 18 July. The system simplifies all key tournament processes, including online registration, payment, flight scheduling, live scoring, and real-time result validation.
With support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council, SportExcel has spent over three decades fostering junior athletic talent across 12 core sports, including golf. Managing tournaments for 10 junior age categories has grown increasingly complex, prompting the foundation to adopt a digital solution.
CLL Systems, which previously supported the Malaysian International Junior Open 2024, tailored the GMS specifically to meet SportExcel’s operational needs. The system includes on-site implementation support and ongoing technical assistance to ensure smooth adoption.
Key features of the GMS include online registration with eligibility verification, integrated payment gateways, automated flight scheduling, live leaderboards, digital scorecards, and tournament director validation to ensure result integrity.
SportExcel plans to roll out the GMS across additional golf events and is exploring the possibility of adapting the platform for use in other sports under its development programs. Future integration with athlete performance tracking tools and university scouting systems is also being considered, highlighting the long-term value of the digital platform in Malaysia’s youth sports ecosystem.
CLL Systems emphasized that the GMS is designed as a scalable and smart solution to support organizations like SportExcel in running more efficient and professional tournaments, aligning local youth events with international standards.
All stakeholders, including sports associations, club directors, and potential partners, are invited to observe the system in action during the upcoming championship in July.
