Cybersecurity giants Sophos and Halcyon have joined forces in a real-time threat intelligence sharing partnership to strengthen ransomware detection and response. The collaboration enhances protection for over 300,000 organizations worldwide through shared insights, anti-tamper capabilities, and cross-platform integration.
MALAYSIA, 6 AUGUST 2025 – Sophos, a global cybersecurity leader, has entered into a strategic threat intelligence sharing partnership with Halcyon, a top provider of anti-ransomware solutions. The partnership brings together two experienced cybersecurity teams to improve ransomware prevention, detection, and response capabilities across their combined customer base.
The collaboration enables real-time exchange of threat intelligence, including indicators of compromise (IOCs), adversary behaviors, and attack patterns. This data will enhance the effectiveness of both Sophos and Halcyon’s platforms, such as Sophos Endpoint with Intercept X, Sophos MDR, Sophos XDR, and Halcyon’s Anti-Ransomware Platform.
In addition to intelligence sharing, the two companies will implement mutual anti-tamper protections. These safeguards allow each platform to monitor and protect the other’s agents during ransomware attacks, ensuring critical defenses remain operational even under duress.
The partnership supports Sophos’ broader strategy to expand its threat response ecosystem through collaboration. Sophos X-Ops, the company’s unified threat intelligence team, will work closely with Halcyon’s research and engineering teams to operationalize ransomware-related insights and improve response effectiveness across a wide range of attack vectors.
Key benefits of the collaboration include faster ransomware detection, stronger integrated defenses, and increased resilience through cross-platform monitoring. By working together, Sophos and Halcyon aim to outpace ransomware threats and provide organizations with a higher level of security assurance.
