Fri, Jul 5, 2013: Electronics Transaction Development Agency (EDTA) conducted a survey among 23,907 consumers in April and May for its annual Thailand Internet User Profile. The survey found almost half of respondents used social media (49.7%) had purchased items via social media platforms, the Nation reported.
The survey also reveals that more women conduct social commerce than men and clothes/shoes/bags, IT gadgets/computers/mobile phones and cosmetics are top three product categories in social commercial Thailand. Most of the respondents are reported have spent THB 501 – THB 1,000 (RM51.28 – RM102.35) in social commerce and commonly conducted at Facebook (92.2%), Google Plus (63.7%) and LINE (67.1%).
