U.S. (Jul 11, 2013): Fancy is a place where you discover, collect, and buy from a crowd-curated catalog of amazing goods, wonderful places and innovative stores. According to MediaJobs.com, the social e-commerce startup has just raised an additional US$53 million courtesy of American Express, billionaire Len Blavatnik and Hollywood megastar Will Smith, a line-up guaranteed to impress e-commerce managers from shore to shore.
The report says the new funding will be used to expand Fancy and it also has changed its board. Edward Giligan (President of American Express), Kering chairman Francois-Henri Pinault and Twitter founder Jack Dorsey are now part of the board.
